About

Our story

Once upon a time, there was a group of dedicated individuals who had a passion for conserving the environment, educating the public about the importance of nature, and sharing Gods gifts with others. They worked hard to raise awareness, but they always felt that they could do more.

One day, they received an unexpected gift: 443 acres of land was donated to Canton First Baptist. They were thrilled at the prospect of having so much land to work with, but they also knew that it would be a huge undertaking to turn it into a functional park.

They rolled up their sleeves and got to work. The first step was to look for Gods guidance while assessing the land and determine the best way to bless the community. They discovered that the land was home to a variety of wildlife and needed some restoration work. They decided to focus on conservation, education, and recreation and create a place where people can find purpose.

They started by dividing the park into areas of focus and using the native habitats to create a park that addressed the mind, body and soul. They brought in members of the community that could help provide expertise in the areas that grow the park and they also built trails and installed signs to educate visitors about the different species of plants and animals that lived on the land.

Next, they established an education center where people could learn about conservation and the environment. They offered classes, workshops, and field trips for people of all ages. The center was a huge hit and quickly became a popular destination for schools, families, and nature lovers.

Finally, the group turned their attention to recreation. They built picnic areas, mountain bike trails, hiking trails and primitive camping. They also installed gardens and weather stations for families to enjoy.

Years passed, and the 443 acres that was once just a patch of land had transformed into a thriving park. People came from all over the United States to learn about conservation, enjoy the outdoors, be inspired by the beauty of nature, and find God’s purpose in their life. The Garland Mission Park team was proud of what they had accomplished and were grateful for the opportunity to make such a positive impact on the world. Everyone was blessed by what God provided for the community and how it brought people together.

The park became a symbol of God’s love and a reminder of the power of community and the importance of preserving the natural world. And it all started with a generous donation of 443 acres of land.
